Do you have a sewing machine with embroidery capabilities, but feel lost to know how to begin? Are you wanting to brush up on machine embroidery as a skill you once left behind? Or maybe you are looking to try something new and fun! Join this beginner level course to learn the exciting basics of machine embroidery. During this course you will learn how to operate your embroidery function, work with the proper tools, thread, and stabilizers. You will gain understanding into proper stitching techniques, and receive digital designs for you to keep. Through instructor led projects, you will learn the basic skills needed to succeed in your own embroidery journey. You must be familiar with your sewing machine prior to enrolling in this class. Supplies Required: a notebook and pen for notes, a serviced sewing machine with embroidery capabilities, electric cord, foot pedal, machine manual, all tools, feet, hoops, and accessories that came with your machine.This course includes a kit worth over $100 containing everything necessary to start embroidery by machine. Threads, scissors, needles, bobbins, several types of stabilizers, and three of my favorite sewing tools. Students will need some additional fabric and notions beyond what is supplied in the kit. Additional supplies will be thoroughly discussed in class. The kit will mail out prior to the start of class.
